Cover Title Genre Chipset Description Download Screenshot
Bomb Jack: Beer Edition Platformer OCS, ECS, AGA A fan-made port of the 1984 arcade classic. More accurate and runs smoother than the old official port. Link
Castlevania AGA Platformer AGA An adaptation of the NES classic with X68000-grade graphics (but not the gameplay changes from the X68000 version). Still in development, but it already looks and plays way better than the rather flawed old official port. Link
Final Fight Enhanced Beat 'em up ECS, AGA A redone port of the arcade hit that blows the old official one out of the water. It still has the old version's limited color graphics, but runs much smoother and has a proper soundtrack. Link
Giana Sisters: Special Edition Platformer OCS, ECS, AGA The C64 classic, now with some really nice graphical improvements. Link
Giana's Return Platformer PowerPC Unofficial sequel to the 80s classic The Great Giana Sisters. Very fun and challenging. Also on several other systems. Link
Green Beret Platformer OCS, ECS Stab your way through a Soviet base to rescue the prisoners! Port of the '80s arcade & NES hit (aka Rush'n Attack). Link
Gyruss Shoot 'em up OCS, ECS Go all over the solar system blasting invading aliens. Accurate port of Konami's classic arcade tube shooter. Link
Knightmare
(Majou Densetsu)
Shoot 'em up OCS, ECS Be a knight, rescue the princess from the evil priest. A port of the MSX classic by Konami, faithful in gameplay but vastly improved in visuals and music. (No relation to the British TV series of the same name, or the game by Mindscape based on that.) Link
Metal Gear Stealth OCS, ECS Accurate port of the MSX2 version of Metal Gear. Link
Metro Siege Beat 'em up OCS, ECS A typical '90s-style arcade brawler, with some of the best 2D graphics on the Amiga. Work in progress. Link
OutRun Amiga Edition Racing AGA Yet another case of "the official port was crap, fans redo it from scratch way better".
Note: you will need the arcade ROM to extract the assets.
Link
Rygar Platformer AGA An exact port of the arcade classic Rygar. (Note that it's vastly different from the NES.) Link
Tinyus Shoot 'em up OCS, ECS, AGA It's Gradius on the Amiga, about as faithful to the arcade as it gets. Link
Tiny Bobble Platformer OCS, ECS It's Bubble Bobble on the Amiga. Yes, there was an offical version back in the day, and it was not bad. But this new port blows it out of the water, much closer to arcade-perfect. Link
Tiny Invaders Shoot 'em up OCS, ECS A clone of good old Space Invaders with much improved graphics and gameplay tweaks, including a Gradius-style power-up bar. Link
Turbo Sprint Racing AGA A clone of arcade top-down racing classic Super Sprint. Commercial
Turrican II AGA Platformer AGA Turrican II is a great game, but it's constrained by what the oldest Amiga hardware allowed. What if it wasn't? This version, based on the PC port, takes advantage of the later Amigas' AGA chipset, to display much more detailed art in higher color depth. Link
