The Studio II is an early second generation console made by RCA. While it looked like another Pong clone, it already accepted cartridges and came with five built-in games. The console was very small, with two numeric keypad embedded on the console.

The main problem with the Studio II was that it was obsolete right at launch, as it could only do very low resolution black & white graphics, and could only create small bleeps through its built-in speaker. Not only it was inferior to the [[Channel F]], which came earlier, the [[Atari 2600]] arrived a few months later and took the market by storm.

RCA had the improved [http://videogamekraken.com/rca-studio-iii-by-rca Studio III] in the pipeline, but after the II flopped, they decided against releasing it themselves. Instead it was licensed to Hong Kong electronics manufacturer Conic Group, which released it in various countries under different names. It also doesn't seem to have made much of a dent.

Toshiba briefly produced a Japanese variant under license, the [http://videogamekraken.com/visicom-c-100-by-toshiba Visicom C-100.] It was upgraded with color graphics and actually piped sound to the TV. Still, it was also unsuccessful.
